Note to reader: I am using this space and place to post parts of a new slip-fiction novel series I am working on, Left Brain Right, the story of a young girl who hears voices. Left-Brain excerpts will be from her care-takers’ point of view or the point of view of the friends and family around her, while right-brain excerpts will describe how she sees the situation. I will not be posting the whole story, but I will be posting practical tips when dealing with someone, or one’s own self, as they are going through traumatic, or not so traumatic, experiences. Please note these are first rough drafts, so there may be spelling and/or grammatical errors.

How today’s story excerpt can help you:
Theme: If you lose your light, don’t give up. Just begin a journey to help find it once more.
Author’s Notes: I decided to continue this story, because I think it has value.
In today’s story excerpt Michelle, the main character, goes back to Fire Fairy Island in order to capture a fairy who may be able to give her a tip on where to find her missing light.

for a Fire Fairy
to fly out.
Fear ever beside me.
Once my eyes were fixated,
I saw it.
A spark escaping into the night.
Cup! A loud smack came from my clasped hands.
I carefully peered
into the small space I had created,
large enough to see,
small enough so that she could not escape.
My hands vibrated and buzzed,
as if I had caught a be,
I held it my heart and sent calm thoughts: I do not wish to harm you.
The buzzing ceased.
I opened my hands.
A small red, orange, gold, and yellow
creature with electric hair and a glowing white face said,
“what do you want?” high pitched and annoyed.
Right and on her hip of her flaming dress,
The left on her soft glowing check.
Her index finger next to her suspicious green glowing eyes
“I heard that you could help me find
my missing light.”
I said quite
