Note to reader: I am using this space and place to post parts of a new slip-fiction novel series I am working on, Left Brain Right, the story of a young girl who hears voices. Left-Brain excerpts will be from her care-takers’ point of view or the point of view of the friends and family around her, while right-brain excerpts will describe how she sees the situation. I will not be posting the whole story, but I will be posting practical tips when dealing with someone, or one’s own self, as they are going through traumatic, or not so traumatic, experiences.

Author’s Notes: The theme above is one of the biggest lessons Michelle, our main character, is going to learn on her journey.  The more emotional house cleaning, or tooth brushing we do, the more we will not only notice our emotional world becoming more calm and stable, but the more our outward world will match to meet it.

Meditation Session 6
Spirit Time meets September 17th

Cue the floating flute music.
Dim lights already in check.
Eyes closed, down into the darkness
I go.

Into a row boat
on the ocean
a whale beside me
as my guide.

The bow reaching
and touching
sandy
shores.

Out I climb.
Bare feet feel
rough sand between toes.
Up a dune I go.

Into a jungle
dark and green.
Tropical birds chirp
calm and serene.

In the middle of a clearing
a tree house stands
tall overlooking
distant lands

that seem dark
and destroyed
going to
rot.

Thunder Being appears next to me
deep
in
thought.

“What you are seeing,
is what is inside you.”
He states, not speaking,
His thoughts leak into mine.

“Can that really be true?”
I answer back with feeling.
When was this darkness installed,
and how can I start cleaning up this mess at all?
